Earning summer money

Sixteen-year-old Lilyanna Carranza, who will be a junior at Sonoma Valley High School this fall, paints railings at Altimira Middle School Tuesday.

Carranza is part of a crew of high school students the school district hired for three weeks this summer to do cleanup and painting at the various campuses. The students work from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
