Dragons at SCL power Analy tonight

On the heels of their first win after three nonleague losses to start the season, the Sonoma Valley High School varsity football boys, who beat longtime rival Petaluma 13-5 in last Friday night’s Sonoma County League opener, face the tough challenge posed by Analy, the two-time defending SCL champion.

After four straight home games the Dragons travel to Sebastopol tonight to battle Analy in a 7:30 p.m. clash at Karlson Field, with the junior varsity game beginning at 5. The Tigers enter tonight’s game having soundly defeated three North Bay League teams before being surprisingly routed last Friday by small-school power McClymonds of Oakland, which is a favorite to reach the season-ending state championships and will be Sonoma’s intimidating opponent next Friday.
