Dragon wrestlers host SCL foe El Mo Wednesday

Having to deal with the challenges of defending their Sonoma County League title with a rare small roster that can’t field a complete starting lineup and is forced to forfeit mutiple dual-match bouts, the Sonoma Valley High School varsity wrestlers will try to rebound from a tough SCL-opening loss back on their home mat.

The Dragons, who forfeited five weight classes and dropped a 51-28 heartbreaker to longtime rival Healdsburg in last Wednesday’s league opener, will host SCL foe El Molino in a dual match at 6 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 15, in Golton Hall.

It will be the Sonoma grapplers’ last match in the Valley until they host Elsie Allen in their home and SCL dual-match finale on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
