Silver Moon Theatre’s production of “Dracula,” by Hamilton Deane and John Balderston, directed by Nellie Cravens, closes Sunday, Nov. 2, on the Rotary Stage in Andrews Hall, at the Sonoma Community Center.

The show is part of the Sonoma Theatre Alliance’s Festival of Theatre 2014. The audience will visit Dr. Seward’s sanitarium, where the spider-eating Renfield keeps escaping from his cell, and no one knows why Dr. Seward’s daughter Lucy is fading away. Dr. Van Helsing, a specialist, believes that the girl is the victim of a vampire, a sort of ghost that goes about at night sucking blood from its victims.

The play is adapted from the novel by Bram Stoker and special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

There will be a special costume contest on Halloween evening, Oct. 31. Prizes for best young people’s costume and best adult costume.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday, and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $25 on Friday and Saturday and $20 for the Sunday matinee.

For tickets, visit SVBO.org or call 938-4626, ext. 1.

The Sonoma Community Center is located at 276 E. Napa St., Sonoma.
