SONOMA VALLEY BABE Ruth Baseball Association will hold its final registration session for all players 13-to-15-years-old on or before April 30, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Arnold Field snack bar tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 8. Any new player to Babe Ruth must furnish an original-sealed birth certificate, which will be returned upon inspection by a league officer at the sign-ups. Cost for the 2014 season is $195 a player, and the league also requires each family to work a snack-bar shift during the season and a second check for $100 is needed as a snack-bar deposit. This is a refundable check that will be returned after a snack-bar shift is worked. SVBR is still accepting letters of intent, including a resume of coaching experience, to manage or coach during the 2014 season, and should forward letters to S.V.B.R., P.O. 2113, Sonoma, CA 95476. Babe Ruth tryouts are slated for 9 a.m. on two Sundays, March 2 and 9. For more information about Babe Ruth baseball, contact Mario Alioto at 318-6945.
