SONOMA’S ST. FRANCIS Solano’s CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) basketball program for third- through eighth-grade boys’ and girls’ teams is currently holding 2013-14 season online registration for all returning and new players through Sept. 15, at tawala.com/p/i8mp1l6cj789w3z/fadmhtj.Registration. Mandatory evaluation and tryout days for registered players are Sundays, Sept. 22 and 29 (one day required) in Sonoma Valley High School’s Pfeiffer Gym. BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS of Sonoma Valley will hold two basketball sign-up sessions for boys and girls in third-through-eighth grades from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on consecutive Saturdays, Sept. 14 and 21, at the BGCSV Clubhouse in Maxwell Farms Regional Park, 100 Verano Ave. Cost is $60 for club members and $180 for non-members, which includes one-year of club membership – $10 late fee for late registration. The four leagues – third-through-fifth and sixth-through-eighth grades for both girls and boys – run from November through January 2014. SONOMA VALLEY TENNIS Association’s next Friday Night Round Robin mixed doubles event honoring the United States Open will be held at 6 p.m. on the Maxwell Park courts tonight.
