Maile Arnold will talk about English gardeners and the benefits of pollinators in the health of a garden and the ecosystem from 10 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Quarryhill Botanical Garden, 12841 Sonoma Highway, Glen Ellen.
As Arnold learns more and more about the importance of bees (and all other beneficial insects) to gardens, her passion for attracting them has grown immensely and she wants to share her discoveries. She has been a landscape designer for 30 years and teaches her clients how to have lovely gardens filled with flowers and edibles without artificial chemicals of any type. Several of her gardens have been featured in Sunset, Fine Gardening and on various gardening television programs.
The cost is $10 for members, $15 for non-members. Call 996-3166 to reserve a seat.
