Join fellow arty types for both a social and creative night out from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 18, at Sonoma Valley Museum of Art (SVMA), and draw inspiration from the very punny and talented William T. Wiley.
Set against the backdrop of SVMA’s summer exhibition, “Wall and Ardor: William T. Wiley in the 21st Century,” ArtNight: Draw Your Heart Out invites participants to enjoy the last days of the Wiley exhibition along with an array of drop-in art making opportunities, while catching up with friends over a drink and a bite to eat. Live music, courtesy of Dan Martin and Tony Gibson, sets the perfect vibe.
Local artists Walt Williams, newcomer Jean Prominski, and Owen Tuttle lead the action at the art tables stationed throughout the museum, brimming with supplies and creative potential to inspire your drawings, collages, assemblages and sculptures.
Local favorites Drumbs and Crumbs and the girl and the fig provide the night╒s nibbles, and a $5 cash bar features brews from Carneros Brewing and wine from Bump Wine Cellars.
General admission to ArtNight is $20; SVMA members $15. Pay at the door. Ages 21 and older only.
The Sonoma Valley Museum of Art is located at 551 Broadway.
Regular museum hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults. SVMA members, students admitted free.
All admitted free each Wednesday. Additional information is available at svma.org or by calling 939-7862.
