It’s Little League District 53 all-star time for Sonoma Little League, with one Valley team already seeing action and two other squads starting play today.

The Sonoma 12-year-old Majors Division all-stars faced Fairfield Pacific in their District 53 tourney opener yesterday in St. Helena – results not available at presstime – and, with a victory, they play the winner of Napa American versus host St. Helena today at 5:30 p.m.

A Sonoma loss yesterday sends them into this morning’s 9 a.m. losers bracket game against the loser of Napa American and St. Helena.

Comprising the Sonoma 12-year-old all-stars – directed by manager Curt Dunkle and coaches Johnny Armitage, Saul Rozema and Dave Boydell – are Luigi Albano-Dito, Brady Armitage, Jack Boydell, Nolan Dunkle, Dom Fiorito, Trevor Griggs-Demmin, Roam Neff, Will Natuzzi, Riley Phelan, Tucker Pierce, Tanner Rozema, Alex Sperry and Trevor Velarde.


Sonoma’s 10-11-year-old all-stars open their District 53 tourney battling American Canyon at 3 p.m. today at Tri-Valley, with a victory setting up a showdown with the Napa National and Tri-Valley winner at 3 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, June 28 – a loss puts Sonoma into tomorrow’s 3 p.m. loser’s bracket game.

The Sonoma 11-year-old all-stars – directed by manager Nate Reynes and coaches Tony Tommasi and Tony Neles – consist of Dax Adams, Jake Baker, Joe Costanzo, Colin Dewees, Ryan Hengehold, Giovanni Hernandez, Mason Matuliatis, Ross Neles, Dusty Pierce, Jamie Pierce, Gage Rowland, Hank Schoeningh, Anthony Tommasi and Ty Vanderlinden.


Sonoma’s 9-10-year-old all-stars play a 3 p.m. opener today against host St. Helena, with a victory pitting them against the winner of Benicia versus East Vallejo at 10 a.m. Saturday at East Vallejo – a loss puts them into a 1 p.m. Saturday loser’s bracket game in St. Helena.

Comprising the Sonoma 10-year-old all-stars – directed by manager Mike Sangiacomo and coaches Craig Ray and Marco Girish – are Adam Duffield, Madden Edwards, Joey Fiorito, Dom Girish, Ashton Kirby, Anders Mathison, Gianni Natuzzi, Jasper Ray, Gavin Rognlien, Robby Sangiacomo, Bennett Steiger and Coop Verdu.
