Our loving, dear wife, mother, sister and daughter, Michele Marie Tovar-Dale passed away June 7, 2014, surrounded by love and her family.
Michele, known by many as a loving, kind, outgoing, pro-active and truly caring person, will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to cross her path and be a part of her life.
Michele was born to Marnea McNeil and Peter John Tovar on Feb. 6, 1957, in Phoenix, Arizona.
She grew up in San Francisco and Marin County and attended Sir Francis Drake High School.
Michele also attended Southwest Texas State and went to graduate school at UCLA.
Michele was a world traveler and lived in Austria, Australia and Toronto, Canada and accompanied the 1988 Olympic Swim team to the Seoul Korea as their nutritionist.
Michele’s interest in the environment and sustainability led her to develop the Sonoma chapter of Green Drinks and Green Living Sonoma. Michele was the past president of the Sonoma Valley B&B Association, served on the board of directors of the Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau and was also the proprietor of Hanna’s House Bed and Breakfast in Sonoma.
Michele is survived by her husband, Stephen Dale; her loving children, Evelyn and Adam Tovar; her parents, Marnea McNeil and Richard Rundel; sisters, Jonea Schillaci and Cameron Tovar, of Nevada City; and former husband, Peter Tovar.
