It’s a “Hippie Hoe-Down” of sorts, and they’re calling it the Gypsy Jubilee which includes a full day of music, arts and crafts and food on Saturday, June 21, at Annex Wine Bar, kicking off at 2 p.m. and running until 9:30 p.m. with a full slate of local music acts and local craft vendors as well.
The music line-up brings in Wildflower Weed, Don Trotta, J. M. Berry, Jeff Falconer, John Wilson, Sue Albano’s new band Tsunami, Wildflower Weed and Friends, Acoustic Soul and many special guests sitting in throughout the day.
Craft vendors include hand-dyed clothing, Lucia Blu and Ramona Walker Jewelry, Penny Byrd, Herbal Products, Valley Ford Mercantile and Wool Mill, tarot card readings by Joia and more. The event is free and open to the public, but the venue is 21 and over only. Friendly dogs on a leash are also welcome.
Annex Wine Bar also has music tonight, June 20, with Dawn Angelosante and Deirdre Egan, for a 7:30 p.m. show.
The B. R. Cohn Fall Festival has announced another act in the line-up for the show to be held Sept. 19 through 22, with John Waite of the Babys fame playing both concert days and also at the Friday night auction dinner. He joins Peter Frampton, Huey Lewis and the News, the Wallflowers, Los Lonely Boys, members of Little Feat and additional acts to be announced at the annual charity festival. Sebastiani Winery and Vineyards presents local bluesmen the Hellhounds tonight, June 20, in the tasting room for a 6 p.m. show. The venue is child and dog friendly, and there is no cover, but no outside alcohol is allowed.
Funky Fridays continue at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park tonight, June 20, at 6:30 p.m. with MotorDude Zydeco playing Creole dance music from Southwest Louisiana.
The band creates a distinctive roots-oriented music blending traditional zydeco with rhythm and blues. Members of the band are Billy Wilson on accordion, Lloyd Meadows on vocals and fratoir, Willy Jordon on vocals and drums, John Graham on guitar and Dennis Calloway on bass. B. R. Cohn Winery continues the Sunday afternoon music series. Sunday, June 22, at 2 p.m. with a free show on the tasting room lawn that features Jason Bodlovich. The venue is also dog friendly.
Viansa Winery in Carneros presents the Veraison Band on Saturday, June 21, for a noon start time. The act draws inspiration from smooth jazz, Euro-style and classic Latin artists such as Acoustic Alchemy, The Shadows and Antonio Carlos Jobim, reinventing their tunes with its own style. There is no cover.
Schug Winery in Carneros welcomes Randy Cook and Dann Walters for a show on Saturday, June 21, kicking off at 1 p.m. There is no cover.
The Erik James Tasting Room has music tonight, June 20, with Willis, Cochran and Essex kicking off at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 21, it’s the Left Coast Syncopators, with “Snakebite” Jacobs, Tim Eschliman and Kevin Zuffi, also for a 7 p.m. show. There is no cover either night.
