In flight to what seemed like a sweep of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley Sunday Night Men’s Recreational Basketball 25-years-and-older league crowns after winning the regular-season title and their opening game of the playoffs, the soaring top-seeded Ravens were grounded in the title game.

In the recent BGCSV playoffs championship showdown at the Maxwell Farms Regional Park BGCSV court, the second-seed BGCSV Boyz II Men upended the first-seed Ravens 61-53 to capture the crown and deny their foe the title sweep.

Leading the BGCSV Boyz II Men, who beat fourth-seeded Envolve Late 90s Altimira Wolf Pack in the playoffs opener, to the championship were Nick Haley's 15 points, Tyler Dixon and Cody Gatton’s 11 each, Dre Huss’ 10, Dylan Rossini’s nine and James Self's five.

The Ravens, who defeated third-seed Don & Sons Wednesday Warriors in their playoffs opener, were paced by Matt Cousins’ game-high 24 points, Salvador Chavez’s eight, Drew Davis’ seven, Casey Moll’s six, Luke Domingue’s five and Eduardo Garcia’s three.
