Audubon Canyon Ranch, a leader in conservation science, habitat protection and restoration, and nature education, will host its 2014 Art of Eating event from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at the Bouverie Preserve, 13935 Sonoma Highway, Glen Ellen.
The event, a “Vintage Country Picnic” will feature the region’s finest food and beverage. Leslie Sbrocco, award-winning author, speaker, wine consultant and host of KQED’s Check Please, will be the emcee.
The event will honor environmental pioneer Martin Griffin, founder of Audubon Canyon Ranch, and winery pioneer Carolyn Wente, CEO and fourth generation winegrower.
There will also be an exhibit on MFK Fisher titled “Wine is Life” curated by Randy Tarpey-Schwed, co-author of “M.F.K. Fisher: An Annotated Bibliography,” published in 2013; a silent and live auction featuring rare, private access to ACR’s preserves; and a nature education display with ACR docents.
Julie Atwood will serve as event planner.
