The Sonoma-based southern catering company Drums & Crumbs will be hosting a one-night-only pop-up fried chicken dinner Thursday, April 24, at Barking Dog Roasters, 18133 Hwy. 12, Sonoma.
There are two seatings – 6 and 8 p.m. The menu features many of Drums & Crumbs’ best sellers, including Arthur’s fried chicken, baked mac and cheese, Southern-style collard greens, spicy black-eyed peas, white cheddar grits and handmade buttermilk biscuits. The menu includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Dinner also includes a live performance by a local musician.
More information is available at facebook.com/drumsandcrumbs and tickets are available at sonomasouthernsupper.eventbrite.com.
Co-owners Rachel Hundley and Arthur Chang moved to Sonoma last year to start Drums & Crumbs. Both grew up in the south (Charleston, S.C., and Memphis, Tenn., respectively), and they became friends while both working corporate jobs in New York City.
Hundley first visited Sonoma on a mother-daughter Wine Country trip three years ago and instantly fell in love.
She moved to California six months later, and a year after that landed in Sonoma with Chang.
Drums & Crumbs serves authentic southern cuisine made with locally sourced organic and all-natural ingredients.
The new Drums & Crumbs food truck will debut at the Tuesday night farmers market in June. The team will also return to Jack London State Park this summer to vend at the popular Broadway Under The Stars concert series.
