A pair of brothers ended up in jail, three-days apart after apparently fighting with each other.
On Wednesday, March 12, at 11:14 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to the report of a fight at Manzanita and Thomson avenues. When they arrived, they were told one of the parties left the scene in a green Jeep Cherokee. Another deputy stopped the vehicle in the 18600 block of Highway 12. The driver, Jason Willis, 38, of Vallejo, shouted to deputies that he had a knife and a bat on the passenger seat.
Deputies detained Willis and retrieved the weapons that, he claimed, he had taken from his younger brother, Christopher Willis, with whom he had just had a fight.
Willis told deputies that he took the knife and bat from Christopher, 35, of Boyes Hot Springs, because his brother was on drugs and he, Jason Willis, was afraid he would do “something stupid.”
Jason Willis was nevertheless arrested for felony possession of a billy club, and possession of a dirk or dagger, and transported to county jail.
