Scouts tackle bullying in schools

The Sonoma Cub Scouts hosted a big all-pack meeting that was open to all area boys on Feb. 24 at Prestwood Elementary School. School counselor Peggy Murray made a presentation to the children about bullying; the kids signed pledges to help stop bullying and then they created posters that will be distributed to the public and private elementary schools in the Valley. The meeting included some of the “usual” Cub Scout activities (color guard, Pledge of Allegiance, etc.) and it was a good opportunity for boys who are interested in scouting to learn more.
