The Sonoma Community Center’s Winter Concert Series continues this weekend with concerts on both Friday and Saturday evenings.
Friday, Feb. 28, Cynthia Tarr and Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. on the Rotary Stage in Andrews Hall.
The performance will features a diverse repertoire including jazz, rock, pop and funk.
Tarr, the director of the community center’s music department will be backed by an all-star band including Cliff Hugo on bass, Ken Cook on piano, Jean-Michel Hure on guitar and Kendrick Freeman on drums.
Saturday, March 1, Los Angeles-based Bob Malone performs at 7:30 p.m. Malone plays keyboards with rock legend John Fogerty, and continues a long running and successful solo career.
His sound is a one-of-a-kind hybrid of rock, blues, and New Orleans R&B, delivered with high-energy piano virtuosity and a voice all his own.
He plays more than 100 shows a year across the globe, and has played with or opened for Bruce Springsteen, Rickie Lee Jones, The Neville Brothers, Rev. Al Green, Dr. John and many others. Malone played this year’s Glastonbury Music Festival in the UK, and is a regular at the prestigious WWOZ Piano Night at House of Blues in New Orleans, featured along with piano legends such as Marcia Ball and Henry Butler. Malone’s TV appearances with Fogerty include The Late Show With David Letterman and The View.

• Saturday, March 29 – Tyrone Wells is a singer/songwriter in the folk-pop genre from Spokane, Wash.
Tickets are $50 for VIP seats (first two rows), $28 for floor seats, and $20 for balcony seats. Tickets are available online at svbo.org, by phone at 938-4626, ext. 1, or in person at 276 E. Napa St., Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 30 minutes before showtime. Balcony seats in Andrews Hall are not accessible for those with mobility issues.
