Sonoma Valley High School is staging “Alice in Wonderland” at Sonoma Valley High School’s Little Theatre on Feb. 28, March 1 and 2, and March 7, 8 and 9.
“Alice in Wonderland” is Lewis Carroll’s most joyous creation. The student cast under the direction of Jane Martin and assistant director Janine Crowe is bringing that joy to this Sonoma Valley High School production.
After Alice (Jen Howlett, Alondra Sanchez) tumbles down a mysterious rabbit hole, she finds herself in a strange land where everyone is raving mad. With the help of a CheshireCat (Katelyn Adams, Devin Muller), an astute Caterpillar (Dylan Arias, Gianna Sanfillippo), and a righteous Humpty Dumpty (Gianna Sanfillippo, Katelyn Adams).
Alice must find her way home and discover who she really is inside.
The “Alice in Wonderland” creative team includes the SVHS art department with set and puppet design and construction under the direction of Aaron Anderson. Costume design and construction are by Tracy Krikorian, Barbara Ciaponi, Nina DeClerq and Kaylin Riebli, with a student stage management team of Jacqueline Peterson, Lucy Houghton, Nicole Moore, Julia Hart, Life Rather and Gabe Vanzant. The poster design is by student Maya Harris, and program and banner design by Andy Mitchell.
Guest puppetry expert Kamela Porteges serves as a special consultant for the show.
