Editor, Index-Tribune:

Sonoma Valley Soroptimist club members thank the Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival organizers for the $1,000 donation sent Jan. 20 to our club. On Sept. 28 and 29 of last year, the Soroptimists revived the tradition of offering children’s activities as part of the VOM Vintage Festival on the Plaza. The “Kids Zone” games were well received by children and parents, and we look forward to setting up and managing the games again. We appreciate the VOM Vintage Festival organizers’ support and encouragement.

Also, Soroptimists thank the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Building staff and administration for the building use for the “Road to Reality” life skills workshops. On Feb. 6, the graduating seniors of Sonoma Valley High School were served breakfast and lunch and participated in interactive sessions with business leaders who shared expertise on financial literacy, legal rights, college readiness, health care choices, career planning and media savvy. The veterans building facilities make this program possible and successful.
