Men’s hoops has returned to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley, with the newly formed Sunday Night Men’s Basketball 25-years-and-older League with six teams playing games at the Maxwell Farms Regional Park BGCSV court.

After four weeks of league play, the Ravens and Boys & Girls Clubs Boyz II Men are tied atop the standings with 4-0 records, followed with 1-3 marks by Don & Sons Wednesday Warriors, the Free Agents, the Bulls and Envolve Late 90s Altimira Wolf Pack.

In recent action, the Ravens defeated Don & Sons Wednesday Warriors 62-52, led by Matt Cousins’ 21 points, Drew Davis and Luke Domingue’s 12 each, Eduardo Garcia’s 11, Arnufo Alvarez’s five and Sal Chavez’s one. Pacing Don & Sons were Anthony Albano’s game-high 23 points, Phil Hal’s 13, Danny Egnew’s 12 and Matt Purtell’s four.

Boys & Girls Clubs Boyz II Men beat Envolve Late 90s Altimira Wolf Pack 63-54, led by Dillion Rossini’s game-high-tying 23 points, Cody Gatton’s 19, Tyler Dixon’s 12, Alex Meidera’s four, Gene Trung’s three and Nick Haley’s two. Envolve was paced by Andrew Ryan’s game-high-tying 23 points, Travis Clegg’s 16, Kelvin Parker and Mike Benziger’s seven apiece, and Danny Fay’s one.

The Free Agents edged the Bulls 48-45, led by Ryan Weeks’ game-high 17 points, Mike Rivas’ 10, Diego Sanchez and Arnufo Alvarez’s six each, Koi Vu and Brandon Richter’s four apiece, and Kyle Viratos’ one. Pacing the Bulls were Alfredo Rafael’s 13 points, Luis Zamora’s 12, Isreal Ortiz’s seven, Alex Gray’s three, and two each by Ang Em, Steve Hill, Marco Mendoza, Melvin Hardy and Luis Garcial.
