SONOMA VALLEY BABE Ruth Baseball Association is still accepting registration for all players 13-to-15-years-old on or before April 30. Any new player to Babe Ruth must furnish an original-sealed birth certificate, which will be returned upon inspection by a league officer at the sign-ups. Cost for the 2014 season is $195 a player, and the league also requires each family to work a snack-bar shift during the season and a second check for $100 is needed as a snack-bar deposit. This is a refundable check that will be returned after a snack-bar shift is worked. SVBR is still accepting letters of intent, including a resume of coaching experience, to manage or coach during the 2014 season, and should forward letters to S.V.B.R., P.O. 2113, Sonoma, CA 95476. NORCAL ACADEMY BASKETBALL for girls in fourth-through-11th grades are taking sign-ups through March 9, and will hold skill development sessions twice a week beginning March 10, with tryouts for a competitive traveling team also being held.
