The Sonoma Valley Museum of Art is actively looking for engaging, enthusiastic and friendly folks to join its crew of volunteers.
On Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 4 to 6 p.m., the museum is holding a Volunteer Appreciation Party for its current volunteers, and inviting community members to join in and learn about the many fun and educational opportunities available for new volunteers. Admission is free; wine and appetizers will be served, with music by Dawn Angelosante. Prospective volunteers will also have a chance to view the current exhibition – “Site & Senses: The Architect of Aidlin Darling Design.”
Guests will have a chance to meet museum staff and volunteers, learn how to get involved with the front desk reception team, its programs and events, and assist with the studio program.
“Volunteering is a great way to experience the museum at another level and make a real difference in the organization. SVMA’s volunteers are such a fun, outgoing and dedicated bunch, and the more who join, the better the museum becomes for everyone,” said Margie Maynard, director of Education and Public Programs.
