Another unexpected probation search, another trip back to jail

Continuing a trend of what might be described as meth-induced amnesia, yet another Sonoma Valley resident, released from jail on what is commonly called searchable probation, was paid a visit by Sonoma police who found him utterly unprepared for their arrival.

At about 6:30 on the evening of Jan. 25, police arrived at a home in the 100 block of Pas Pajaros Calle, and knocked.

The resident answered the door and stepped outside, closing the door behind him.

Police informed him they were going to conduct a probation search on the inside of the home.

“No, you’re not,” 52-year-old Tyler Field allegedly replied.

“Yes, we are,” answered an officer. “Is there anything in the residence that will get you in trouble?”
