The Woodland Star Educational Foundation presents “16x16 – Expressions from the Woodland Star Community,” an art exhibition on display at Bump Wine Cellars, 521 Broadway, from Feb. 7 to Feb. 28.
The exhibition features artwork from a selection of local artists connected with the Woodland Star Charter School. Each artist was given a 16-by-16-inch wooden platform to display their distinctive styles. The result is a profoundly unique collection of art that has a common foundation.
Each piece in the collection will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting Woodland Star Charter School. People can either bid on a piece, starting at $100, or alternatively “Buy it Now” with a set price.
Bidding will end on Saturday, March 8 at the Woodland Star Educational Foundation live auction event “Saturday Night Fever.”
An opening reception for 16x16 will be held at Bump Wine Cellars from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7.
Hors d’oeuvres from Dish will be served and live music performed by the trio Full Chizel. Bump Wine Cellars will donate 20 percent of all wine proceeds for the evening to the Woodland Star Educational Foundation. Additionally, tickets for the “Saturday Night Fever” live auction event will be available for purchase at $55 per person.
