Transcendence opens June 27

The Transcendence Theatre Company’s third season, “2014 Broadway Under the Stars” concert series, will include four separate themed concerts, running June 27 through Sept. 6, totaling 16 nights of performances, wine tasting and pre-event picnics at Jack London State Historic Park.

Transcendence Theatre Company is a nonprofit arts organization comprised of artists with professional experience from Broadway, movies, and television.

All events begin with the picnic at 5 p.m., with food and wine for sale from various vendors on site, with a 7:30 p.m. curtain.

The company kicks off the season June 27, 28, 29, July 2, 3 and 5 with “One Singular Sensation,” a night of irresistible Broadway production numbers, show-stopping routines and so much more.

Loaded with Broadway favorites and a few other treats, this toe-tapping night will wow audiences with one song after another and leave them humming their own 11 o’clock number as they walk away with a little magic in their hearts.

On July 25 and 26,? TTC’s “Fantastical Family Night” is always a labyrinth of magic, exploring Broadway, Disney and other lovable songs in a family-friendly night of entertainment. If you’re lucky enough to catch this, you’ll see a special performance by the Broadway Kids Camp campers as the company pays a “transcendent tribute” to the end of camp. The Kids Camp is a week-long fun experience with the company’s staff of Broadway, national tour, and film/TV professionals taking children through a series of musical theatre workshops designed to build confidence, inspire creativity, and instill well-being in a non-competitive and nurturing environment.

The Music of the Night follows on Aug. 14, 15, 16, 22, 23 and 24. With TTC, it’s always a “Grand Night for Singing” and in this third concert, there’s no exception. “The Music of the Night” is an evening of singing, music and harmonies well beyond compare. And hey, the performers even throw in a little dance for fun. A splendid mix of inspiration, you’ll go from contemporary and classical Broadway songs to popular music and beyond in just a sip of wine.

The season ends with the Gala Celebration Concert on Sept. 5 and 6.

Catch “Once Before We Go” at the company’s third annual Gala Celebration. This concert is a little bit of the best from the summer season and some new sure-to-be classics rolled into one spectacular evening. TTC will pay tribute to all, including the patrons, who made the season possible. Don’t miss this last hurrah as these tickets are always the first to go.

The performances take place at Jack London State Historic Park, 2400 London Ranch Road in Glen Ellen.

Visit the website for a Valentine’s Day special gift ticket offer. TTC also offers discounts on “early-bird” tickets purchased before May 1. A portion of every ticket sold will benefit Jack London State Park.
