While Sonoma Valley High School’s 2013-14 winter sports regular seasons in basketball and wrestling enter their final month of action, with the postseason slipping into March, Sonoma’s spring sports are anxiously sitting on the horizon waiting to start their preseason.
The 2014 spring Dragons will officially begin their workouts in six sports – boys’ baseball, girls’ softball, boys’ tennis and golf, boys’ and girls’ track and field, and boys’ and girls’ swimming – on Monday, Feb. 10.
Except for boys’ tennis and golf, all the Dragon squads have junior varsity programs, with baseball – as always – fielding a freshman team.
Students who want to participate in Sonoma’s 2014 spring sports programs need to have all their paperwork and mandatory current physical examinations completed before the official opening of preseason practices for that sport.
Forms and paperwork for the spring Dragons are available at the SVHS student activities office Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
