Man twice makes threats to kill family

A Sonoma man who was arrested on Dec. 16, for making threats against a mother and her two children in the 18000 block of Highway 12, was arrested again on Dec. 29, for again making threats against the family.

According to the police report, at about 2:12 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, Samuel A. Macias, 51, of El Verano, reportedly yelled “very obscene” things at the female resident, her mother, and her young son, and allegedly threatened to kill her and her family.

Two weeks earlier, Macias had been arrested on charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon, felony making terrorist threats and a probation violation after he threatened to shoot the woman and her two children and reportedly tried to run the family down in his truck.

After the latest incident, Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputies re-arrested Macias on a felony charge of making criminal threats and a probation violation.

Due to this being a repeated offense, a bail increase to $50,000 was requested by deputies and granted by a judge.
