It’s the debut of the Christmas Jug Band Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Moose Lodge when the act presents an “… irreverent crew of stalwart purveyors of the ‘jug-a-billy’ musical mystique as a seasonal assemblage of musical misfits from the Commander Cody alumni and other various notable Bay Area aggregations. What started from a Wild Turkey-inspired momentary lapse of sanity is now, four albums and 35-plus years of fruitcakes later, an unconventional holiday tradition of highly skewed merriment.” The act includes the likes of Austin deLone, Paul Rogers, Tim Eschliman, Ken “Snakebite” Jacobs, Gregory Leroy Dewey and Blake Richardson. Showtime is 8 p.m. and for tickets and more info, call 996-3879. If available, there will be tickets at the door.
Showcase the Band will be at the Moose Lodge on Sunday, Dec. 15, for a 4 p.m. show.
