A 21-year-old El Verano resident was arrested Wednesday on numerous drug and weapons charges.
At about 7:30 a.m., Sonoma County Sheriff’s Property Crimes detectives arrested 21-year-old Ryan Christopher Cordano at his residence in the 18800 block of Serpilio Drive in El Verano.
Sgt. Mike Raasch, with the property crimes unit, in a statement, said, detectives received information from an informant that Cordano was in possession of narcotics for sale and was selling drugs from his house.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for Cordano’s residence and his vehicle and arrested him as he left the residence at 7:30 a.m.
Raasch said detectives searched Cordano’s bedroom, which was a converted garage and located two assault rifles, a sawed-off shotgun, one semi-automatic handgun, two pounds of processed marijuana, a half-ounce of heroin, currency, packaging material, and a digital scale.
The detectives found additional marijuana and a bottle of liquor inside Cordano’s 16-year-old brother’s bedroom. The juvenile was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol and possession of marijuana.
Cordano was booked at the Sonoma County jail for possession of heroin for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, possessing an illegal assault weapon, possession of a high-capacity ammunition magazine, and possession of narcotics while armed.
Cordano’s bail was set at $150,000.
