Morning raid nets weapons, drugs

A 21-year-old El Verano resident was arrested Wednesday on numerous drug and weapons charges.

At about 7:30 a.m., Sonoma County Sheriff’s Property Crimes detectives arrested 21-year-old Ryan Christopher Cordano at his residence in the 18800 block of Serpilio Drive in El Verano.

Sgt. Mike Raasch, with the property crimes unit, in a statement, said, detectives received information from an informant that Cordano was in possession of narcotics for sale and was selling drugs from his house.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for Cordano’s residence and his vehicle and arrested him as he left the residence at 7:30 a.m.

Raasch said detectives searched Cordano’s bedroom, which was a converted garage and located two assault rifles, a sawed-off shotgun, one semi-automatic handgun, two pounds of processed marijuana, a half-ounce of heroin, currency, packaging material, and a digital scale.
