Hanna soccer Hawks soar to title, postseason playoffs

Pulling together for a thrilling title-season ride, the Archbishop Hanna High School’s soccer team powered into the postseason before their inspirational journey fell just short of competing for the ultimate prize – a sectional title.

Leading up to their season-ending North Coast Section Division-3 quarterfinal loss to Drew on their recently completed new field on their Arnold Drive campus, the Hanna Hawks compiled an impressive 21-2-1 overall record, which included an unbeaten Bridge School League title-winning 12-0 mark.

The league-champion Archbishop Hanna High School soccer Hawks, coached by Travis Curtis, consisted of senior captains Alexis Magana and goalkeeper Alonzo Jimenez; seniors Richard Gonzalez, Dage Rivergo, Abraham Rodriguez, Ricky Ventura and Russell Wood; juniors Angel Campos, Alex Garcia, Larry Michel and Wesley Trujillo; sophomores Erick Casasola, Jose Jimenez and Jose Mendoza; and freshman Alexis Guzman.
