Prior to last Thursday night’s Sonoma County League Tournament final in Pfeiffer Gym, where the three-time champion Sonoma Valley High School’s varsity volleyball girls won their third straight tourney title by sweeping Petaluma, the SCL all-league honorees were announced.

Sonoma’s standout junior setter Mackenzie Albrecht was named the league’s most valuable player for the second straight season, while seven of her Lady Dragon teammates were all-league selections.

SCL all-league first-team honors went to junior Delaney Swanson and freshman Kiara Miles; while juniors Hannah Herrick and Ciara Smith, and frosh Jenna Mak, were second-team all-league picks; and seniors Kayten Mak and Gianna Monterosso received honorable mention.

Monterosso and Smith are repeat all-leaguers, while Swanson earned all-league honors for the third consecutive season, and Albrecht’s two MVPs followed her all-league frosh season.
