The Friends of the Sonoma Valley Regional Library will hold its quarterly book sale starting Wednesday, Nov. 13 and running through Saturday, Nov. 16.

The sale starts Wednesday as members only get a preview from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The sale is open to the public from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Books, book on tape, videos, CDs and DVDs are all $1-to-$2. Friends of the Library book bags are available for the special price of $2 during the sale. The Celtic fusion band Greenhouse will perform at 2 p.m. on Saturday. All the funds raised at the sale stay at the library.

The books on sale are not used library books, they are books that are donated to the Friends of the Sonoma Valley Library by the community.

The group does not sell any books from previous sales. Each book sale contains books donated since the last sale.

Teachers and educators can contact Dave Dobson at 966-3072 to get free books at the end of the book sale on Saturday afternoon. Also, children get one free book throughout the book sale.

If anyone has a lot of books to donate and needs someone to pick them up, they can contact Wayne Schake at 938-9248.
