Vote by mail ballots for the City of Sonoma’s special election for Measure B, the Hotel Limitation Measure, will be available from the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters beginning Monday, Oct. 21.

The election itself is set for Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Voters who wish to vote by mail must submit a personally signed letter for the ballot to the Registrar of Voters, Vote by Mail Division, P.O. Box 11485, Santa Rosa, Calif. 95406. Requests can be made by mail or in person.

Registered voters should receive a Sonoma County Sample Ballot/Voter Information Pamphlet prior to the election. The application form on the back of the sample ballot can be used to request a vote by mail ballot. If a letter contains the request of more than one voter, each voter must personally sign the request.

The last day to request a vote by mail ballot by mail is Tuesday, Nov. 12. For situations arising after Nov. 12, applications for vote by mail ballots can be made in person up to the day of the election at the Registrar of Voters Office, 435 Fiscal Dr., Santa Rosa.

Voters may also return their vote by mail ballots at any polling place that is being used for the Nov. 19 special election. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on election day.
