Adele students to walk and roll to win a bike

Adele Harrison Middle School’s 33 leadership students are excited this year to take the school’s Wednesday, Oct. 9, Walk and Roll To School Day one step further. Eighth-graders John Murray and Alissa Schimm spearheaded an effort to get students excited to participate by convincing Sonoma Cyclery (across the street from the school) to donate a bike to be raffled off during the day’s events.

Walk and Roll to School Day is a district-wide event promoting community and physical fitness, where students ride their bike or walk to school. Pictured are seventh-grader Veronica Borg and eighth-graders Heather Durfee and Martin Farias, with the donated mountain bike.
