‘Songs of the ’60s’ at Sebastiani Theatre

Sebastiani Theatre presents “Those were the Days; Spirit and Songs from the ’60s” on Monday, Oct. 7, featuring William Florian, lead singer of the New Christy Minstrels, and Laura Benward in an upbeat musical journey through America’s greatest folk and pop tunes from that fabulous, memory-making era. In addition to Florian and Benward, the Those Were the Days Band has John Benward on mandolin and banjo, Kem Stone on percussion and Eddie Guthman on bass. Stone has shared the stage with many pop legends including J. J. Cale, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, the Coasters and the Drifters.

A special tribute will be made to John Denver. The evening gets underway at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. Advance tickets can be found at brownpapertickets.com or by calling the Sebastiani Theatre at 996-9756.
