Food and film collide in a new series this winter at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art. Each night, a different Sonoma chef will prepare a “signature taste” inspired by the movie.
Hosted by Kathleen Hill, the series is presented with the Sonoma International Film Festival, in conjunction with the museum’s current exhibition, “Kitchen Memories: The Kathleen Thompson Hill Culinary Collection,” on display through Dec. 1.
The series next takes place on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. the series will screen the romantic drama “Like Water for Chocolate” (1992), starring Lumi Cavazos.
Betty Kelly of Wine Country Chocolates and chef Dana Jaffe of Saddles at MacArthur Place will provide the nibbles.
Wines that night will come from Barbed Oak Vineyard.
