While there are grapes still to be picked, B.R. Cohn Winery kicks off the Sonoma Valley olive season with a home curing olive workshop featuring olive expert Don Landis on Sunday, Sept. 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Landis will talk about the history of the olive in California and provide a thorough description of the Greek style of olive curing with no lye. An olive tasting and discounts on select B.R. Cohn gourmet food products will be offered to all participants.
Reservations are required for workshop, and can be made by calling 800-330-4064, ext. 124.
The cost is $20 a person, or $15 for wine club members.
