THE VALLEY OF the Moon Trap Club will hold its ninth annual Jim Meehan Memorial Trap Shoot and Barbecue at the club’s South Burndale Road site (27000 Burndale Road) on Saturday, May 3, with competition for men, women and juniors. The trap benefit event starts at 9 a.m. and the barbecue lunch, silent auction and raffle prizes and the awards presentation – including a commemorative silver belt buckle awarded to the winner of each event by class and high overall – begins at 11 a.m., with no-host beer and wine. All the proceeds will be donated to the the Sonoma Valley Girls Softball Association and Sonoma Valley 4-H. Entry fees for the shoot and lunch are $50 for adults and $35 for juniors (ages 16-and-under) – lunch only is $20 and children under-12-years-old are admitted free.
