The Sonoma Ecology Center will facilitate a day of environmental stewardship to commemorate Earth Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 26.
The Ecology Center is seeking residents who live creek-side willing to host neighborhood creek cleanups. The Ecology Center will help recruit volunteers for each site, and will provide both cleanup tools and materials. Community members can also participate in Earth Day activities by joining the Sonoma Ecology Center at one of four public locations – Maxwell Farms Regional Park, Larson Regional Park, Fryer Creek and Nathanson Creek Preserve.
Because Earth Day falls on a Tuesday this year, activities will take place the following Saturday, April 26.
