Kitaro joins Santa Rosa Symphony at Weill Hall

Grammy and Golden Globe Award-winning artist (and Sonoma County resident) Kitaro will debut his Eastern European Tour and extensive live production with the Santa Rosa Symphony at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at Weill Hall, Green Music Center at Sonoma State University.

The Symphony performs with the world-renowned “founding architect of New Age music” at a performance that benefits Sonoma Land Trust, Everybody is a Star Foundation and the Santa Rosa Symphony’s educational programs.

Audiences can expect orchestral arrangements of Kitaro’s most memorable music from “Silk Road,” “Kojiki” and “Heaven and Earth.” Kitaro performs with a small ensemble that includes his wife, Keiko Takahashi, on keyboards and special effects, and with the Santa Rosa Symphony orchestra under the baton of Kitaro’s music director Stephen Small.

Tickets are $40 to $80 with premier seating at $250, which includes post-concert reception with Kitaro. Tickets are available at santarosasymphony.com or by calling 546-8742.
