Creating fashion from trash

Calling all ecologists, artists, designers and fashionistas! It is time to dive into the nearest recycling bin and scour the nearest thrift store for recycled haute couture inspiration.

The Sonoma Community Center’s fourth annual Trashion Fashion show will be held on March 22. Here is your chance strut the catwalk and show how fun, innovative and beautiful recycled fashions can be.

This call to artists is open to all individuals or groups ages 9 and up.

The application and design proposal deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14. Download a prospectus and application at sonomacommunitycenter.org or pick one up at the SCC office, 276 E. Napa St., Sonoma.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, March 22, at the Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Building, 126 First St. W.
