Dragon grapplers travel to Petaluma Thursday

Having dropped two of three Sonoma County League dual matches, the defending champion Sonoma Valley High School’s varsity wrestlers now face the challenge of winning their final three outings to enter the season-ending SCL championships with any chance of snaring a second straight title.

The Dragons will have to earn two of those three wins on the road, where they remain for the next two dual matches, starting with this Thursday’s, Jan. 30, showdown at longtime rival Petaluma.

Sonoma’s grapplers will then travel to Santa Rosa on Wednesday, Feb. 5, to battle Piner, before ending the SCL dual-match season hosting Elsie Allen on Wednesday, Feb. 12, in Golton Hall, which will also be the Dragons’ senior night.
