SONOMA RACEWAY’S 2014 Big O Tires racing season has begun, and the Sonoma Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities will hold its inaugural Laps for Charity event, benefitting Sonoma County youth organizations, on Saturday, Jan. 18. SONOMA VALLEY’S FIELD of Dreams will hold its annual users meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Round Table Pizza, 201 W. Napa St. This is a mandatory scheduling meeting for Valley sports groups interested in using the Field of Dreams in 2014 and all users must bring their projected hours. SONOMA VALLEY HIGH School Booster Club’s major fundraiser for sports, arts and other extracurricular programs – the annual “Super Bowl Eve Crab Feed and Dance” – will take place from 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Building, 126 First St. W., and include a cocktail hour (no-host bar), a silent auction, buffet dinner and dancing to the Scallywags.
