Silver Moon sets class for young actors

Young actors can polish their skills and learn new ones in Silver Moon Theatre’s class, “Acting Scenes from ‘Tom Sawyer,’” taught by Nellie Cravens and sponsored by the Sonoma Community Center.

Classes for young people ages 10-16 begin Wednesday, Jan. 22, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and run for eight sessions. The cost is $126 for SCC members and $140 for non-members.

Participants explore action/reaction, entrances and exits, developing a character, and much more. Beginners and experienced young actors are welcome. The final session on March 12 will be a performance for families and friends.

For registration, call the Sonoma Community Center at 938-4626, ext. 1. The Sonoma Community Center is located at 276 E. Napa St. For more information, call Silver Moon Theatre at 483-5582.
