Nicora Place appeal may be reconsidered

Final approval for the 18-unit subdivision on West Spain Street, known as Nicora Place, may be delayed again if the City Council acts on an expected request from developer Steve Ledson.

According to Sonoma Mayor Ken Brown, the project is on the City Council consent calendar for Monday’s meeting, but may be pulled in order to consider a revised proposal from Ledson.

The council voted 3-2 on Nov. 4 to uphold a Planning Commission decision approving the project, but ordered modification of one of the planned units to eliminate the second-floor element above a garage.

According to Brown, Ledson submitted a modified plan, after showing it to concerned neighbors bordering the project site. Brown said Ledson is expected to submit new drawings for the building in question, if the council agrees to pull the item and reconsider the modification requirement.
