Carol A. Lawrence, age 79, passed away at her home in Glen Ellen after a battle with cancer. She was born on Nov. 11, 1933, in Silom Springs, Ark., the daughter of Richard and Nina (Abercrombie) Woody.
She is survived by four children, Deborah (Robert Herreshoff) Lovett, Alice (Glen) Ryan, Richard Higinbotham, and Peter Lawrence; five grandchildren, Elice (Dwayne) Moran, Anna (Robert) Rozelski, Kevin (Christina) Lovett, Lisa Higinbotham and Savannah Higinbotham; and by many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Lawrence.
Carol’s life was defined by her devotion and love of her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Her pleasure and solace were her morning Bible readings and refuge in prayer as she gazed over the beauty of the hillsides and listened to the song of the morning birds. Her heart was abundant with the love and joy brought to her by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She adored the time and moments spent with family and friends, opening her home for all to enjoy the Lawrence Italian home cooked meals her late husband, Rick would provide. “Bless these gifts which we are about to receive.”
Carol will be remembered in the hearts of all who have shared her company.
