Robert “Bob” Bloxham Bast was born Dec. 27, 1949, in Palo Alto. He passed away Oct. 18, 2013, in Lodi at the age of 63.

Robert was an Eagle Scout, horseman, horseshoer and cowboy. He recently retired as a cellar foreman with more than 20 years experience in the winemaking industry. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served from 1970-72.

He enjoyed black powder events in the Sierra and travel, but his true love came from spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a man who “never met a stranger,” and he enjoyed visiting and talking with everyone he met.
