Families looking for some age-appropriate Halloween fun will have plenty to take part in next week. From school carnivals to trick-or-treating at shopping centers, these are some of the events that anyone can take part in.

Sonoma Charter School will host its Halloween carnival on Friday, Oct. 25, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and the entire community is invited to attend. All proceeds will fund field trips, recess equipment, library purchases and other programs and equipment at the school. The community is invited to come in costume for an evening of playing games for toys and candy, as well as a delicious cake-walk. Pizza and refreshments will be sold.

Flowery Elementary School will also hold a Halloween carnival on Friday, Oct. 25. From 5 to 7 p.m., community members can come to the school’s cafeteria to play games and other fun activities for kids.

Sassarini Elementary School will have a Halloween carnival on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 4:30 p.m. and the community is welcome. There is also a costume parade at the school on Thursday, Oct. 31, at 9 a.m.

El Verano Elementary School Halloween carnival and parade will be Sunday, Oct. 27. Food sales begin at noon and there will be live entertainment from noon to 4 p.m. Performers include the Cork Pullers, Ballet Folklorico Jazmin, the Hula-Mai dancers, Danza Azteca Xantotl de Santa Rosa and D.J Refugee.
