Lecture looks at Blue Wing Inn

The Blue Wing has stood across from the Mission for about 170 years. Its rich history will be the topic of the October meeting of the Sonoma Valley Historical Society.

Karla Noyes, a real estate agent in Sonoma Valley, will present an overview of the history of the Blue Wing with new research on Gold Rush owner James Cooper and his family.  Noyes is an amateur historian who was a docent for 10 years with the Sonoma State Historic Park, and enjoys the pleasure of sharing the important moments in history of the town with everyone she meets.

The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, in the Depot Park Museum, located one block north of the Plaza. There is no charge to attend. For additional information, call 938-1762.
