City Party features local musicians galore

It’s time once again for the annual City Party tonight, July 29, presented by the Sonoma Community Center, and this year, the acts are all about Sonoma Valley.

Opening the show will be upcoming singer-songwriter Sarah Summers. Headlining the night will be Tommy Thomsen and an all-star band that features Codi Binkley, Junior Boogie, Sean Carscadden, David Scott, Bobby Black, Sean Allen, Ken Emerson, Cliff Hugo and Roy Blumenfeld. The stage will be behind City Hall on Spain Street, which will be closed for the night, and kicks off at 6:30 p.m.

The El Verano Inn has karaoke tonight, July 29, kicking off at 8:30 p.m.

Murphy’s Irish Pub presents the “after party” tonight, July 29, with Out of the Blue, kicking off at 7:30 p.m.

The Blue Moon Saloon presents reggae night with DJ Saucy1 tonight, July 29, kicking off at 10 p.m.

HopMonk Tavern Sonoma has Open-Mic on Wednesday, July 30, with sign-ups at 7:30 p.m.

The Annex Wine Bar presents Calvin Ross on Wednesday, July 30, for a 7:30 p.m. showtime.

The Epicurean Connection has gay pride piano bar night on Wednesday, July 31, at 6 p.m.

The Annex Wine Bar presents JMB and the Big O on Thursday, July 31, for a 7:30 p.m. show time.

The Olde Sonoma Public House has the debut of the Bumblin’ Bones on Thursday, July 31, at 8 p.m. The new act consists of Ian Hinkley, Matt Ruff and Taylor Diaz, playing original rock and roll with influences from Tom Waits to the Talking Heads. There is no cover.

Burgers and Vine presents a “pro-jam” with the No Buenos on Thursday, July 31, kicking off at 9 p.m.

Sebastiani Winery and Vineyards presents the Hellhounds on Friday, Aug. 1, in the tasting room, starting at 6 p.m.

The Eric K. James tasting room has Caroline Dahl, Tim Eschliman and Bowen Brown on Friday, Aug. 1, kicking off at 7 p.m.

HopMonk Tavern Sonoma presents Benjamin Winter and the Make Believe on the beer garden stage Friday, Aug. 1, for a 5 p.m. show. Later on the tavern stage, it’s Full Chizel for an 8:30 p.m. show

The Plaza Bistro welcomes the Noam Lemish Trio on Friday, Aug. 1, starting at 7 p.m. There is no cover.

The Annex Wine Bar has the Bee Rays on Friday, Aug. 1, for a 7:30 p.m. show time.

Della Santina Trattoria welcomes soprano Anastasia Encarnacion and mandolinist David Garelick performing Italian Arias and Neopolitan songs on Friday, Aug. 1, starting at 8 p.m.

Funky Fridays at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park presents the Blues Pirates on Friday, Aug. 1, for a 6:30 p.m. show. For tickets and more info, point your browser to funkyfridays.info.
